The CEO of Project Empowerment Exposure and Purpose (PEEP This, Inc.) is Kim M. Bookard. She has a Master’s in Social Work (MSW) and as a 2014 William K. Kellogg Community Leadership Fellow, she worked to promote change at the grassroots level by addressing systemic barriers of racism. Kim’s passion for her community and people can be seen through her countless hours of mentoring, advising, and empowering young people to improve life outcomes for themselves and their families.
Kim is a dedicated social worker and lifelong resident of Washington Highlands community, (Ward 8). With a strong passion for her community and a deep commitment to the well-being of young people, Kim has spent the past 25 years working closely with hundreds of individuals and families in Wards 7 and 8.
With her background in social work, Kim understands the critical role that exposure to social, cultural, educational, and mentorship opportunities plays in shaping the lives of young individuals. Her experience has shown her the significance of providing these opportunities early in life to pave the way for successful outcomes.
Driven by her belief in the potential of the youth in her community, Kim’s work over the past two decades culminated in the founding of PEEP This, Inc. Her vision and dedication have led to the creation of programs and opportunities that empower young girls, offering them the chance to broaden their horizons, develop their self-esteem, and achieve their dreams.
As the CEO, Kim M. Bookard’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s mission, values, and approach.
